This young Filipino marine student was seen washing dishes at the market stall in Karuhatan Valenzuela City, the Philippines where they sell porridge. He manages to balance school and helping his parents at the same time.

Nicole Garcia took a snap of this young Filipino in her facebook, the post was already shared 389 and 13,344 likes from netizens.

“Sobrang natuwa ako sa lalaking yon kasi kalagitnaan ng gabi maghuhugas siya ng plato para lang makatulong. Ni hindi niya muna inisip sarili niya na magbihis muna, mas inuna niya ang tumulong,” (I felt admiration for the man because even in the middle of the night, he would wash the plates just to help. He did not even bother to change clothes; preferring to help out first.) she further wrote.

According to Nicole, she was walking with her friends when this student still in his uniform got her attention. Nicole narrated that she saw this guy washing dishes while still in his uniform helping his parents in their food stall, and based on his uniform Garcia is certain that he’s a marine student.

Nicole ended her post by saying this guy will serve as her inspiration, despite that she does not personally know the guy.

“Di kita kilala pero sobrang idol na kita (I don’t know you, but you’ve become my idol),” she wrote. “God has a plan for you and your family. God bless!”

Kudos to the parents of this student. They raised a man. A man that is responsible enough to know how to balance school from helping his parents.

An inspiring story indeed.
